Why Buying Another Course Will Not Fix It

Buying another affiliate marketing course can feel like progress.

You watch the training, take pages of notes and feel as though you are getting somewhere.

Most courses aren’t terrible. The problem is that information on its own rarely turns into results, because it doesn’t turn into a working system.

A course tells you what to do. It doesn’t always give you an order to do it in, especially when real life gets busy.

In my last post, The Illusion of Progress: Am I Busy, or Am I Getting Anywhere?  I admitted that I recognised myself in the learning trap. This post follows on from that, because courses are where that trap usually lives.

What Usually Happens With an Affiliate Marketing Course

You start strong.

You watch a few modules. You feel motivated. You set a couple of things up.

Then you hit the messy middle.

You aren’t sure which part matters most. You get stuck on a technical detail. You start wondering whether you picked the right offer. You feel behind.

So you either pause, or you go looking for something else. Quite often, that something else is another course.

Over time, the learning quietly becomes a form of procrastination. It feels like work. But is it moving you forward?

Why a System Works Better

A system is different.

It gives you a sequence and a clear next step. It tells you what to focus on first and what to ignore for now.

So when you only have an hour in the evening, you don’t have to work out where you were or what matters most. You just do the next step.

It also keeps pulling you back to the basics that actually matter, rather than the shiny extras.

That is what makes it easier to stick with. In Why So Many People Struggle With Clickbank – Even When They Work Hard I wrote that motivation doesn’t last. A system is what keeps you going when it runs out.

Why I Point People to the Free Membership

This is the reason I joined The ClickBank Profit Club free membership, and why I suggest it as a starting point.

It isn’t just more information. The members area is laid out in order, so you stop trying to do everything at once.

It also puts the focus on building something you own first: your email list and your follow-up. That way you aren’t relying on one-off clicks and one-time commissions from ClickBank.

It is the same simple flow I keep coming back to:

Traffic → Page → Email List → Follow-Up → Relevant Offer

Even if you never upgrade, the free membership is still useful, because it gives you a clean framework to work from.

I am still working through it myself, so I can’t tell you yet what the results will be. That is what these posts are for: documenting what I do, what I learn and whether it works.

Want to Take a Look?

If you have a few half-finished courses sitting in a folder somewhere, it might be time to try a different approach.

You can see the free membership here:

There’s no need to take my word for it. Have a look inside and decide whether the approach makes sense for you.
